![]() ![]() He rushed for six postseason touchdowns as a rookie, including the only touchdown in the Pats’ 13-3 Super Bowl victory over the Rams. Michel spent his first three NFL seasons with the Patriots, and he rushed for a career-high 931 yards as a rookie on New England’s 2018-19 championship team. He then signed with the Chargers and had 36 carries for 106 yards in 10 games as a backup to Austin Ekeler last season. Michel, 28, spent the ensuing offseason with the Dolphins before Miami cut him last August. Cam Akers was sidelined for most of the season by an Achilles injury that year, and Michel added 78 yards rushing in the postseason as the team won the Super Bowl in February 2022 at SoFi Stadium. Michel rushed for 845 yards and four touchdowns while also catching 21 passes during the 2021-22 season for the Rams, who acquired him from New England in a preseason trade. The Rams announced their reunion Tuesday with Michel, a two-time Super Bowl winner and five-year NFL veteran. I love Chase.THOUSAND OAKS - The Rams have re-signed running back Sony Michel, a member of their Super Bowl championship team. 2X points on dining and traveling, 1X points for everything else, no annual fee and the points never expire. Then I got a promotional email to sign up for a free checking account, deposited 1,5k in it and got a bonus of 150 bucks. I applied for the Chase Sapphire, spent 3k in the first 3 months and got 25k bonus points. Then I remembered what they did to the Sony Rewards program, so it was very discouraging to use this card. I have used the new card once, at a gas pump out of emergency. They are a terrible company and I never want to be their customer again. I am very close to $300 in points and as soon as I hit that, this card is shredded. When Crapitol One took over, they got rid of all the polls and games, except for WOF Bonus Puzzle, which was 20 points before, is now 10 points. I have earned so many points just by playing the daily games and answering poll questions. I was a real happy camper when I signed up for the Sony card with Chase. Again, we would only consider pulling new credit cards though after we acquire our new mortgage so we do not impact our credit reports. Therefore, this change just opened up the door for me to open new Chase airline credit cards should the offer be notable in the future. I had held two Chase cards between my Sony Rewards card and United Airlines card. Therefore, I was limited in the amount of Chase cards I could hold, which was reported as three cards. My main reason is that the majority of the good airline credit cards offers that I have seen over the past year have all been through Chase Bank. Overall, I am kinda glad that the Sony Rewards card has been transferred to Capital One. My wife and I have discussed that once we get our new home, we might use the points to get a new Sony flat screen television for another room of our home. We already have a Sony flat screen in our living room. ![]() It would be one thing if I actually needed a new television or other major electronic, but we do not. As of this writing, I have over 60,000 points sitting in my account, for which I have little use for them. So other than the issue of possible new credit pulls, what might be some implecations of this change? Well as I mentioned in my previous discussion on this card, we do not really use it much since Sony Reward points have little value to us. Therefore, I need to protect our interests, and it is critical that I monitor my credit reports since we know we will be getting a new mortgage once we sell our current home. One would think it might not be typical for the practice to pull credit reports again since I already have the card, but when my old NetBank account was going to be transfered to ING Direct several years ago, ING was going to do a new credit pull just because they were taking over the account. I have read Capital One pulls from all three bureaus on a credit check, so I want to make sure they are not going to pull again. I can not imagine that it would, but I need to call Capital One within the next day or two to make sure they do not perform a new credit pull for the new card. Ideally, nothing is really changing other than the branding of the card. The terms of the new offer can be read here. When I looked more into it last night, I guess I never paid to much attention that according to the thread on FatWallet, new cards apparently have been issued by Capital One for a while now. Yesterday in the mail I received a letter that my Chase Sony Rewards card has been turned over to Capital One. I have been a Chase Sony Rewards card holder for several years, as I discussed in my post What is in My Wallet. ![]()
